Call for Betas 2016 - 2017

Dear watchers, we're currently calling for

beta volunteers for

bacon & eggs

Submissions are due April 13th, so the writers looking for beta help will be needing it for/in the next four months. Baeconandeggs are looking for committed people who would like to help the writers in our community. If you are interested and you love to read fan fics, please think about signing up! We would very much appreciate your help!

Why be a beta-reader?

Beta-readers are a very important part of every writer's journey. Sometimes, they are more than just people who spell-check stories. More often than not, they are involved in the writing process. Writers often need support when writing so they'll consult and ask their beloved betas questions, testing out ideas and scenes that they might write. What may start out as a simple agreement to become a beta may end up being the start of a warm, supportive friendship!


Volunteers will be assigned!

Unlike in the last 2 rounds, writers will not have to find their own beta amongst the comments. To better organize the writing fest, beta volunteers will be assigned a writer who has requested help (via email) by the BAE mods.

Requirements

• English doesn't have to be your first language. If you're confident with your English writing skills, feel free to volunteer and help your fellow bacons!


• Be timely! Please don't miss the final deadline!


• Be kind to the writer! ( Everyone should be nice) Team work makes the dream work!


• Must NOT reveal the name of the author or their prompt #


• Must NOT reveal who you beta-ed for or which prompt #


• No flaming

It is advised that you are not a participant of the ongoing exchange, but this is said loosely. If you ARE a participant and you wish to beta, we ask that you finish your work first, and when you are ready to beta, remain anonymous about your work in BAE2017. Email us if you have any questions about this!

Weaknesses: I'm not really good at giving details especially if I'm not in the mood. I may also be a little too straightforward and I might criticize too much if I'm really into it. (but still imma ball of fluff HAHAHAHAHA)

I'm the kind of person that will always want the best output and I really love checking stuff. If it means a lot to the author, I'll also give my best. I may be busy at times but I will always find time because writing for me is the best way to express one's self. This is also my first time being a beta-reader but I know what I'm doing. I'll give every support that I could give to my author and produce only the best of the best. I look forward to whoever author I will meet and may we be able to give our best! ^_^
