- We do NOT operate through LJ PMs. It’s a lot easier for us to interact with participants through email, so please check the email you sign up with regularly.
- NO FLAMING!

GENERAL
- All work should stand-alone and MUST not be part of another series or a sequel branching from another fic.
- Do not discuss your prompts or assignments, either the one you gave or the one you claimed, in public (Twitter, Tumblr, Weibo, LJ, etc.). YOU MUST REMAIN ANONYMOUS.
- Please add us as friends to receive updates!


PROMPTING
- Prompting will be open between August 1 - September 1.
- Please fill out the prompting form as thoroughly as possible. If you have any information missing, we will contact you again.
- ONE COMMENT FOR ONE PROMPT

• If you have multiple prompts you wish to submit, you must fill out the form for one and post that as a comment. Then you must repeat the process. There should NOT be two prompts in a comment. One comment, one prompt.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED TO BE A GOOD PROMPT?
- Do not be too vague and do not be too detailed.
- Your prompt should not be a story summary. We want writers to have the ability to interpret your prompt in a way that allows for their creativity to be exercised.

• Good prompt: Chanyeol doesn't believe in love, but he does think Baekhyun's the most annoying neighbor anyone could ever have.


• Bad prompt: Chanyeol goes to school one day and finds a cat. He takes the cat home and it turns out to be a magical boy. The boy's name is Baekhyun. The next day, Chanyeol finds out Baekhyun attends his school. Since he's mean and uncaring because he's a bad boy, Chanyeol bullies and black mails him. But then he sees Baekhyun being chased as a cat by elementary school kids after school and he decides to save him because he's actually a really cool guy who pretends he's a bad boy.You get the picture. No summary, no intricate details.

ENTRIES
- Baekhyun/Chanyeol must be the main pairing in all entries; however, this does not mean you cannot end the story with broken!chanbaek.
- If you have any questions, contact the mods.We will happily reply to your email!
- Again, entries must be original and able to stand on their own, not a continuation of something already posted.
- Plagiarism is not allowed. The entry will be taken down as soon as it comes to our attention.
- All entries must be rated and given warnings appropriately.


FINAL SUBMISSIONS
- Please do not submit your fic until you are completely satisfied with it. Once a fic is submitted, no revisions will be permitted except for minor changes such as typo corrections or header changes.
- Submit all work to baekyeolexchange@gmail.com
- Mods have the right to remove any disparaging or derogatory content about your work on your Author's Note. You have worked hard, so appreciate your work a bit more!
- If you have a beta-reader, do not list your beta by name in your Author's Note (initial is alright). For the sake of anonymity, we will go back and post it in after reveals.


SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT
- Please submit in a Word .doc or .docx or .txt format
- The minimum word count is 2,500 words
- Include all html tags in your entry

Check-Ins: Really Important!!

Check-ins will be conducted through email on a personal basis.

Check In 1: Simple! Send us an email with your username, fic title, and word count. No need to attach any documents. Self-report your progress. We trust that you will be responsible with your own progress.

Check In 2: Send us an email with your username, fic title, word count, AND a document. A MINIMUM OF 2,000 WORDS IS REQUIRED!


EXTENSIONS & DROP OUTS
- Granted on a case-by-case basis (email mods at baekyeolexchange@gmail.com)
- Please inform us ASAP if you need to drop out.
- We reserve the right to drop participants at anytime if we believe they will not finish their fic.
- We reserve the right to remove them from the exchange if we think they are flaking (not taking things seriously, dropping off).
- Participants will be dropped if they do not check in and we have emailed them multiple times to ask why they did not respond.


SAD BUT TRUE: We are not tyrants, and we do believe in second chances. However, we do not like to feel disrespected. So if a participant has failed to submit an assignment in round one AND now in round two, we will not be too eager to have this person in this exchange again, since they seem to leave us hanging a lot. Therefore, we will probably not allow that person to sign up for any future rounds of this exchange.

- We will post all entries anonymously until reveals in our Masterlist
- Don’t post your entry anywhere else on the Internet until after reveals
